Horatio’s Garden Scotland

We were delighted to be awarded the contract to supply the stone copings to the water feature at the new Horatio’s Garden at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.

The copings had to be a perfect radius and so did the hand carved lettering! This required exceptional accuracy and quite a bit of mathematical calculation which was a struggle for us stone masons!!  All achieved using a sandstone called Woodkirk which has mellowed to a perfect dark honey colour to suit the whole project.
