Capital Stone Renovation Ltd were successful in our tender to clean and restore this iconic landmark building that used to be the Headquarters to the Greater London Council (GLC) up until early 1986.

The works were not at all straightforward as a large proportion of the building is now a prestigious hotel and disruption to the occupants had to be kept to a minimum, so we appointed a foreman to be the daily liaison point between site and the hotel management. This team-work enabled us to access every room to decorate the windows without compromising the hotels booking schedule – quite some feat over a contract period of 9 months including Christmas and the New Year!
